Adoption

In circumstances where a child is going to be permanently cared for by someone outside of their biological family, this is often done by way of adoption.

When a child is adopted, it is a permanent order and means that the adoptive parent obtains parental responsibility for the child and the biological parents’ parental responsibility ends. The child is treated in law as if they had been born as the child of the adopters.

Whether you are a parent of child who is being adopted or you are seeking to grow your family through adoption we have specialist solicitors who can help and guide you through the process.

Adoption is not the only way to regularise the arrangements for children. Other options include special guardianship orders or child arrangements orders.

Funding for advice and legal representation

In some circumstances the local authority may offer limited funding to adopters however if this is not available please contact us  to discuss your options and to obtain a quote.
