Anthony King Solicitors offer advice and assistance on SCHOOL ADMISSION APPEALS.

It can be disappointing for both parents and children not to be allocated a place at their preferred school.

With an increasing number of parents not securing the school of their choice for their child it is important that parents know they have a right of appeal to an independent appeal panel and the correct procedure to follow.  Whilst it is increasingly difficult to succeed in such appeals, the chance of success is significantly higher with legal representation.

We offer competitive fixed rate advice to parents and guardians who have received a refusal from their local authority or from their preferred grammar school, in particular as to the potential of an appeal against that decision.

We offer a selection of services which include:-

·        an initial appointment to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your case

·        assistance with completing the appeal application form, preparation for the hearing and guidance on the appeals procedure

·        representation at the admission appeal hearing by a fully qualified Solicitor.

With specialist knowledge of the complexities of the appeal process we can help guide you through the process.

Primary School decisions are usually released in April and Secondary School decisions are released in March.

The appeal needs to be made in writing to the school admissions authority by the date specified in the allocation letter received.  There is a limited time in which to submit your appeal, so do not delay in contacting us for your advice and assistance.
